Zimbabwe Outreach Work

Creating Lasting Change, Together

Since 2011, we have been committed to empowering communities in Zimbabwe, rurally and in Victoria Falls. Working side-by-side with local leaders to boost education, conservation, and economic opportunities, our culture of giving guides every project, ensuring solutions are codesigned, sustainable, and led by the people who call these places home.

Annual Mission Team

Every year, Mains’l employees have the opportunity to participate in our mission trips to Zimbabwe. While there, crew members build or repair classrooms, community gardens, and boreholes. They also spend time with children, elders, and farmers to share skills and stories, strengthening leadership skills and gaining a global perspective.

Plans are already underway for our 2026 mission trip to Zimbabwe, taking place April 8–26 and marking our fourteenth annual journey. Employees can now access full details on the volunteer role or download the application form below.

A Vision For Zimbabwe

We see a future where children learn in safe classrooms, families earn stable incomes, and wildlife thrives alongside people. Together with our partners we nurture growth, resilience, and opportunity to build a brighter future for children, families, and communities.

Empowering Local Youth

Alongside our partner MATTER Career Readiness Institute (MCRI), we help young Zimbabweans learn remote tech skills that open doors to global job opportunities. We also assist in constructing new schools and supplying fun, engaging classroom materials so more children receive the education they deserve.

Providing Support for Lower-Income Rural Areas

At Ethandweni Children’s Home, we provide essential supplies, mentoring, and daily care to create a nurturing space for children living without their parents. At the Dete Old Age Home, we supply critical resources and companionship that uphold elders’ dignity and wellbeing.

Protecting Wildlife & Water

In partnership with Mother Africa Trust and the Victoria Falls Anti-Poaching Unit, we safeguard Zimbabwe’s wildlife and preserve its precious ecosystems. We strengthen food security by teaching drought-resistant farming techniques, and we fund community boreholes to bring safe, reliable drinking water to every village.
