Voices of Impact

Real stories. Real experiences.

See how our community is making a difference, one journey at a time.

“This has been a huge blessing to our son and our family.”

“My family and I are so thankful for self-directed services. Our son has autism; due to his communication and sensory needs, there have been many challenges. But because of the support we receive from Mains’l, we have been able to use resources through the Participant Directed Services program to support our son’s needs. Mains’l has been amazing at responding to emails and phone calls right away and giving us guidance when we need extra help! Our lives have been less stressful as we continue to create an environment at home that meets the needs of our special son. This has been a huge blessing to our son and our family.”

“I would not be where I am today without the support of Mains’l.”

“Mains’l staff helps me with paying my bills, keeps my checkbook so I don’t overdraft it, and helps me with family issues. They help me stay on track. I would not be where I am today without the support of Mains’l.”

-Jodie

“I feel I can relax for the first time in years.”

“Since we changed my son’s services to Mains’l, I feel I can relax for the first time in years. My son gets the respect and attention he deserves from his staff and the supervisors at Mains. He is thriving, and moving from success to success due to their support and flexibility, and willingness to go the extra mile for him.”

-Cynthia

“I couldn’t go to the places I need to without the employees at Mains’l.”

“I couldn’t go to the places I need to without the employees at Mains’l. They make sure I exercise, and help with food planning and preparation—which is important because of my diabetes.”

-Cindy

“Mains’l has lifted the burden of financial management from our shoulders.”

“There’s so much to consider and be aware of when caring for a family member with disabilities. Mains’l has lifted the burden of financial management from our shoulders. No more stress or worries about payrolls, withholdings, employer taxes, W-2’s, or any of the other complications of financial management. Now we can just concentrate on taking care of our daughter. Thanks Mains’l!!”

-Meredith, Mother of an FMS participant

“We are very happy to have been working with Mains’l”

“We have been working with Mains’l for over a year now and have had an easy transition into using their services with great support and quick responses when needed. We had a nice introduction in the beginning and have had a pleasant experience with all of the employees we have encountered. We are very happy to have been working with Mains’l thus far and look forward to many more smooth billing months ahead. It is so wonderful to not have to worry if we are getting close to our annual budget knowing they are on our side tracking it for us. Our son has excelled using this program and benefitted getting to do all of these great activities to help him soar.”

-FMS participant

“I thoroughly enjoy working for Mains’l”

“I thoroughly enjoy working for Mains’l because of its dynamic and supportive environment… The hourly field offers a unique blend of flexibility, variety, and autonomy that suits my work style perfectly. I feel valued, challenged, and fulfilled in my hourly role, and I look forward to continuing to contribute to the company’s success.”

-Allysa Z., Employee

“I really enjoyed this program”

“I really enjoyed this program and how comfortable it felt. I learned a lot that I didn’t know before but also some things that I did know. It was a new experience that I was unsure of at the start, but the people here made it fun and I felt that we worked well as a group.”

-Anna D., Prep Academy participant

“Mains’l has helped me gain confidence”

“Mains’l has helped me gain confidence over the years I’ve been with them. I have so many friends here and I’ve never felt afraid or unwanted during socials or one-on-one time with staff. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and they always encourage me to ask for help.”

-Willow, College+ Graduate

“I’ve been going to Mains’l Innovations”

“My name is Sinclair, and over the past couple of years, I have had many successes in my life and I have achieved many things and learned some good skills. For instance, I’ve been going to Mains’l Innovations, which is like a school and I have learned so much since coming to it. I have gained many important life skills at the program and there are some I’m still trying to master. My favorite things that I’ve learned so far revolve around the job I have at the Mains’l Innovations Print Shop. I’ve learned how to print things, scan things, and how to collate things like training binders. I can definitely say that life for me has been good for me and my progress with this program has been going well. I am also excited to say that I am going to Butte College and really have loved taking classes there. Some of those classes included workplace communications, reading, and math. I’ve learned as much as I can in those classes and completed and accomplished getting through them.”

-Sinclair
