“I have been witness to caring, compassionate, truly person centered employees”

Annually, the crew responds to an outside engagement survey, which measures employee satisfaction in a variety of areas including growth and development, culture, values, innovation, and meaningful work. As a service provider, I have been witness to caring, compassionate, truly person centered employees in offering supports to people. I believe we continue to head in the right direction!”

He’s been able to attend a social group every Friday that helps with improving his social skills, building interpersonal skills, supporting his education goals, and increasing his self-esteem. The staff is amazing! They are diverse in their skills and knowledge and always positive and upbeat. They have Jarred’s best interest at heart and are his greatest cheerleaders! “PEERS helped my life in more ways than one and continues to help it”
“I enjoyed the PEERS classroom setting because it helped me get into the mindset that it is a learning opportunity. There were opportunities to move and to practice. It was helpful to interact with others, compare notes and share experiences, because that is how I learn. The homework was not bad because we were surrounded by people who get that it can be hard to be out of your comfort zone, and it was a chance to take skills outside of the class to practice. PEERS helped my life in more ways than one and continues to help it. I recommend others to check it out, you will use the skills and not even know it.”
– Henry A., PEERS participant
“PEERS has helped develop my overall communication at my job.”
“I asked questions and learned about how the skills taught can be used in a workplace environment. It set me up for understanding how to work through social situations that might come my way with my boss, my coworkers and customers – situations that are both good and bad, and how I can make the bad ones into a good one. For example, there have been many times when my coworkers have been talking, and I needed to find the right moment to interject, or I wanted to find a common topic that we both relate to so I can get to know them better. PEERS goes over how to do all of that. I have become better friends with my coworkers, and the skills helped me both work through small conflicts and prevent me from creating conflicts. “
– Henry A, PEERS participant
“PEERS helped me learn and I feel safer now”
“I sometimes struggle with talking to people, but it has been better since going to PEERS. I learned to talk nicely, be patient, respect people, and be careful when talking to strangers I do not know online. PEERS helped me learn and I feel safer now”
– Maria D., PEERS Participant
