The Kilimanjaro Climb – Photo Gallery – Experiencing One World, Together
Mount Kilimanjaro is a dormant volcano in Tanzania. It is the highest mountain in Africa and the highest single free-standing mountain in the world, with its summit of 19,341 ft. above sea level.
Days 1 – 5: The H2O for Life Kilimanjaro climbers have been hiking for several days, acclimating themselves along they way as they ascend to the top of the highest mountain in Africa. By the end of Day 5, the group would be at 14,160 feet! They have hiked through corn and potato fields, forests, and up steep grassy slopes. These photos are being provided by the Zara base camp. FYI, the group is not expected to be reach the “ceiling” of the Africa – the summit of Kilimanjaro – until Day 6 (Feb. 24th). Stay tuned – we’ll post pictures if/when they arrive!
