As we embark our 2024 trip to Zimbabwe, read how the Mission Team plans to forge meaningful connections and contribute positively in the weeks ahead!
Over the month of April, we will be sharing updates on our Facebook page, as well as this blog, about what we get up to and discover.
Here’s a closer look at our planned activities!

April 9th
Our journey will begin with our arrival at Amalinda Lodge, in Matopos, Zimbabwe. The stillness of our surroundings will offer us a moment to reflect and gear up for the days ahead, as well as serve as a poignant reminder of the importance of our conservation efforts.
April 10th-11th
We will dedicate our first days to assisting families, helping to improve living conditions, and implementing sustainable projects around the community in Matopos. Our efforts will also extend to Mgadla Primary School, where we plan to cultivate a fruit orchard, enriching both the school’s environment and the community’s nutritional options!
April 12th-16th
Upon our arrival at Ethandweni Children’s Home, our agenda will be simple yet intentional: to share, to learn, and to grow together. The activities we have planned will aim not only to bring joy and learning but also to foster a sense of family and belonging among us all.
April 17th-19th
Heading to Khulu Bush Camp, we will immerse ourselves in the natural beauty and challenges of the region. Our activities will range from constructing predator-proof livestock bomas to engaging with the MAT anti-poaching unit, highlighting our commitment to environmental conservation and community resilience!
April 20th
At the Dete Old Age Home, we will join come together with elders, plant fruit trees and share in activities that reinforce the fabric of the communities.
April 21st-26th
Towards the end of our journey, we will head to Hwange Bush Camp and eventually to Victoria Falls. Here, we plan to engage with the brilliant minds at the Mains’l coding school and explore the potential of technology in education through visits to local initiatives! Our time in Victoria Falls will be a blend of learning, reflection, and exploration, showcasing the multifaceted nature of our mission.
April 27th-28th
As our expedition draws to a close, our team will depart from Victoria Falls, and carry with us not just memories but a renewed sense of purpose. As we have learned from previous years, the experiences shared, the lessons learned, and the connections made will inspire our efforts long after we return home.
Stay tuned for updates as we venture through Zimbabwe, building bridges of hope, connection, and learning.
