EMPLOYMENT ENDEAVORS

The Employment Endeavors program provides support and assistance to adults with developmental disabilities interested in pursuing meaningful community volunteer and career opportunities. The goal is to provide opportunities to acquire a paid job, where they individuals can “do” rather than to be “done for” in a supported environment.

Examples of employment opportunities include Receptionists, Laundry Attendants, Catering Specialists, Custodians, and Good Neighbor Specialists (visiting people who are home bound.) Employees at Employment Endeavors learn skills to enhance their job performance, build their resume, and add to their work experience. This program is designed to provide a unique approach to accessing the community with paid work, while enhancing the self-esteem and independence of the employee.
