Program Specialists

Provide direct care to consumers in a respectful and non-intrusive manner, ensuring the well being of the people supported and promoting their dignity as individuals.

 

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • Writing skills adequate to write narrative accounts in grammatically correct sentences
  • Oral communication skills adequate to accurately and professionally relay information to outside agencies and individuals and to participate in team meetings
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations
  • Cooking and domestic skills adequate to prepare basic meals, do laundry, and clean
  • Ability to work under limited supervision;
  • Flexibility

 

Program Managers

Provides leadership to all program employees at the site using team based management techniques.  Performs designated coordinator functions using Personal Outcomes philosophy and standards and outcome based quality standards.  Manages all site operations in an efficient and timely manner and provides direct care using Creating Positive Environments tenets.

 

Requires a four-year degree in a field related to service provision and one year work experience with consumers with developmental disabilities, or a two-year degree in a field related to service provision and two years of work experience with consumers with developmental disabilities.  The position requires supervisory skills acquired by a minimum of one-year experience in a supervisory position.

  • Ability to balance requirements of multiple and varied duties

Behavioral Program Manager

This key manager position provides leadership to all program employees at a residential site using team based management techniques. This position is also responsible for the design, supervision and implementation of behavioral and habilitative programming, integrating the consumer’s dreams and desires into the programming. This position will also be responsible assessing clients and training staff. Performs designated coordinator functions using Person-Centered philosophy and standards and outcome based quality standards. Manages all site operations in an efficient and timely manner and provides direct care using Creating Positive Environments tenets. Four-year degree in a Human Services related field preferred and one year work experience with consumers with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst or be BA prepared.

Program Director

Provides leadership and mentoring to the program managers and program coordinators.  Oversees all program service functions within assigned service delivery area.  Ensures delivery of high quality program services and capacity for responsible company growth through effective leadership, effective implementation of outcome-based standards, responsible allocation of resources, and sound fiscal management.

 

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • A four year degree in a field related to service provision
  • Knowledge of DD service delivery acquired by five (5) or more years of full time equivalency employment in a MR/DD setting.  Three of the five years must be in a residential MR/DD setting
  • Knowledge of DD service management acquired by two (2) or more years of full time equivalency employment in a program director level position. (The two years may be part of the five years required in #2.)  One of the two (2) years in a program director level position must be in a residential 24-hour program
  • Supervisory skills acquired by three (3) or more years of experience in a supervisory position
  • Technical skills to analyze and interpret financial information and develop budgets
  • Technical skills to operate computer system, including word processing and basic spreadsheet
  • Ability to build relationships with all stakeholders; to be discerning and intuitive as to their needs
  • Ability to use oral and written communication effectively
  • Ability to foster teamwork and motivate and develop others
  • Ability to work independently; to be self confident
  • Ability to self-manage during stress and change; to be trustworthy.
